Afternoon Snack

Can you smell the goodness?
Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits from Martha Stewart* + fresh whole milk from Cedar Summit Farm

(*This isn't exactly the recipe I used, since mine came from the Martha Stewart Baking Handbook and she has about a million buttermilk biscuit recipes online. They all look good.)

Mmmmmm. Freshly baked bread of any kind is so good. I'm making dill onion bread for dinner right now (a double batch so it might last for breakfast in the morning). I used to make biscuits for snacks while studying in college.

Yumm, I made scones (biscuits) this week too, my recipe came from the Australian Country Women's Association cookbook, not as healthy as yours (500ml of cream and 250 of full cream milk). We ate them with jam and cream just to compound the unhealthiness.

Love the picture of Jackson.

oh ma ga. Those biscuits look so amazingly good!! Now I have to get to the kitchen and find me a snack even half as tasty. I'd love your recipe if you're happy with it - we make biscuits all the time around here!

My goodness, Catherine, that boy of yours is adorable!! He's so big.
Your biscuits look yummy and I am envious of your knitting talent and Jackson's green hat and mittens. They look so warm and cozy. Glad to see all is well in the cold North. Take care and stay warm
