Crockpot Love and Other Sundry Tales

I made this in my crockpot yesterday:
No, seriously. I did. In my crockpot. A Hot Fudge Sundae Cake. One more reason to love the crockpot! The recipe is from Dan's book* "Betty Crocker's Slow Cooker Cookbook" and can be found online here. Don't delay: make this cake today!

In other news:

Jemima Puddleduck's beak has been saved from the gummy baby jaws. Here I thought she was just lovin' on Jemima like usual, but it turns out that she chose the beak because she was hungry and it resembled, well, her food. Er, sorry 'bout that Amelia. Baby has been fed and is now snoozing. All is well.
(Her adorable skirt and booties were just found on this web site for a song. I wish I could have an adorable pumpkin orange skirt like that!)

And this just in: who knew that it was possible to lose weight over Thanksgiving? Down two pounds from just Wednesday this week, I've decided to go on a new diet of pumpkin pie and hot fudge sundae cake. Sweet! (Oh baby weight, I bid you farewell...)

*My Dan came equipped to this union with, not only a copy of a Betty Crocker cookbook, but also the crockpot to go with it and a handsome collection of Corningware baking dishes. I knew it was love at first sight, but this sealed the deal.
