I jumped on the French Press Felted Slippers bandwagon after Stephanie raved about the pattern around Christmastime. It wasn't exactly a 90-minute knit, as she and others promised, but it only took me a little longer overall and was a fast and easy pattern.
I do really love these slippers and plan to make them again and again. Starting with another pair for Ms. Eden, the recipient of this pair, since they're just a little bit too tight. (It's so hard to stop at just the perfect size when felting!) The finished pre-felting length was about 16" and I was aiming to felt to about 9 1/2" but it just went ever so slightly down towards 9" and that makes it more like a shoe size 8 1/2. They fit me perfectly, so I know they're not exactly perfect for her, since her feet have always been just a half-inch longer than mine! No matter what she says, I know.
At least she likes them though. How could anyone not like these adorable slippers? Too cute. Happy Birthday again, Eden!

I have this pattern and yarn on hand to knit some myself. I figure between me,sis in laws, two daughters and two grown son's girlfriends, a sister and mom I have plenty of sizes on hand so the first pair is bound to fit someone. I just think they are so cute! Glad to see we have the same taste in slippers! I couldn't resist the patter when I saw Stephanie obsessing about them at Christmastime too!
Have a fun week!
