Weekend Wrap-Up

Sorry about the lack of photos for the last love, friday edition. What can I say? I was too busy lovin'.

This weekend, however, we did find some time for photos along with the lovin'. We have stories of new gardens (watch for before and after photos later this week) and tales of completely car-less days of biking all over town. But after all of this activity, the yogurt & granola household is tired tonight so we'll just let a few photos do the talking.

Not really crabby, but watch out for this face anyway. He could go either way...

A late afternoon snack in the garden. Notice the dirt on the nose? We decided to give him something better to eat.

Newsflash: We have a Little BOY. These hands were dirty all weekend long.

A sore attempt at beach swimming by bike right when Jackson had a nap in mind. We did end up swimming, but the combination of crabby, overtired boy + sand + hot sun + boy's desire to run on the bike lane instead of stick to the beach made this party end early. (He did exclaim "OH.MA.GAW!" at waking up and seeing the lake though. Perty darn cute.)

So we continued the party at home instead. A pre-anniversary dinner of Spring Risotto with Peas and Zucchini in the summer coupled with that bottle of German Dr. Fischer Reisling-2004 that I bought a few weeks ago for the occasion (sorry, can't find a link). Perfect. (Dining with Jackson for our special dinner meant clinking our glasses but still picking up frozen peas that someone whipped across the room and trying to encourage just "one more bite" for the little one. Oh well. He's a huge reason why we're so happy together!)

And yes, I've been knitting too. This is sock #1 for my Hogwarts Sock Swap buddy and its partner is just two pattern repeats away from being done. ("Moving Staircases" pattern from Vogue Stitchionary 3 in Ravenclaw movie colors) All aboard the Hogwarts Express!
