Lake Superior Lullaby

We just returned from a long weekend family reunion/camping trip to the North Shore of Lake Superior and all three of us are tired and happy. Jackson just had a much needed bath and went to bed all cuddly and smiley in his familiar bed, Dan is busy putting the camping gear away and I have just enough energy to post this for you tonight: our Lake Superior Lullaby. Day or night, the energy of this mighty Great Lake can lull you to sleep, or at least into a restful calm...until you have to go chase your toddler again, that is. Good night, kind readers. Tons more stories and photos to share tomorrow or the next day.

P.S. Yes, that's Jackson you hear in the beginning saying "a boa!" He can't quite get the "t" sound yet, but really made leaps and bounds with language this weekend.

I love camping with my family! It wears me out, but it is so relaxing at the same time.

Camping is exhausting with little ones, but they do so enjoy it. I've never seen the great lakes, but I grew up on the Pacific coast. I am very impressed with the wave action shown in your video!

You are soi brave - camping with a little one - whenever we think about it I remember the absurd joy of rented apartments - trying to track 2 down when they go in different directions is just too hard - you have all my admiration!

My little ones quickly discovered they could play in all the dirt they wanted on a camping trip, and mom wouldn't get upset about it.
