love, friday

Love 158 beats per minute for our baby's newly working heart. Love that s/he is the perfect size for two months along. Don't love the weirdo-mess-with-your-head stuff that is happening with this pregnancy (and that prompted the early ultrasound) that didn't happen with my first.

(I know it's a blob. Turn your head to the left and squint: the baby's head is first and the white blip at the end is the tail [that will go away, of course]. The arms and legs are just forming and are all tucked in the middle...in the fetal position, quite literally. Size = about a kidney bean...long, long way to go.)

love, friday

Hooray for the little one! Thank you for sharing this picture with us. Hope you're taking time for yourself and catching a nap now and again with Jackson.

I'm sorry that things aren't quite as predictable this time around. I know that can be really hard. It is good that you had the ultrasound - and that everything seems normal - to calm your mind a bit. Try to take it easy (as much as you can).

Thinking loving thoughts - I know the strain caused by worry over a pregnany - sure everything will be great - what a gorgeous little peanut you have there
Conratulations!

Oh, Catherine, how beautiful! I have been meaning to write separately and say just how thrilled we are for you guys. We wish you love, light, sourage, and wellness today and every day as all of you grow together. I am sorry that there is anything distracting you from the wonder and joy of it all.

We'll keep your little kidney bean in our thoughts and prayers. Take a deep breath, hon'. Be well!
