Angel Progress

I love how fast this Angel Sweater for Amelia's dedication has knit up. I started it late Saturday night and here it is, 90% complete and blocking. Next up, the adorable little "angel" sleeves. (I'm no expert lace blocker, so please keep that in mind while examining this photo. This blocking was just an attempt to relax the yarn and actually see the feather and fan pattern.)
Jackson's dedication sweater, on the other hand, took me about 6 weeks to complete and kicked my arse. I was a different (less experienced) knitter then, but I have to admit that the simplicity of this little pattern has been much appreciated. Amelia can have crazy cables when she's older...

Simple can be very good. I find that although I like the beginning and the ending of complicated things, the projects that I really enjoy are the simpler ones.

Love the angel! how beautiful!! Love the pregnant tummy too - mine sort of wrapped around the second time (and I was heaps tireder and got crummy colds and stuff too - eucalyptus oil on your hankies to sniff - not to wipe your nose - and a drop on the pillow might help!) Hurrah for the farm - I've been preserving and chutnifying and relishing and freezing and am almost looking forward to winter, just so I can stop!

Your angel sweater is just beautiful--can't wait to see it with its wings! I'm also a big fan of the baby bump. You make pregnancy look absolutely joyful!

Wow!! So fast, that's great! I love seeing the yarn I bought in Cochabamba Bolivia (at an alpaca yarn factory outlet store), had stored in my room and then transported across continents in suitcase, transformed into a beautiful little sweater!

I have a quick question--since we know you have a tenuous relationship with pink, I must ask what you're favorite stand-in is: pale green, lilac, or pale yellow?
