love, friday

Love this yarn (Knit Me Now Yarn "Warm Woolly" 70% wool/30% mohair in "Chokecherry" colorway, my yarn from up north). Love the Forest Canopy Shawl pattern. Love knitting it again. Cannot.put.it.down.
Love that it's felt like Saturday all day today because Dan's off work again and we've just been playing around all day.

Love Panera's new egg soufflés. I'm normally not one to rave about fast food or food that even remotely resembles fast food, but I can't get this egg-y, cheesy, pastry puff out of my mind...

Love that Amelia is wearing Jackson's hand-me-down bunny hat that I knit for him back in '06 (pre-blog) for these last few weeks of winter. Love that she makes the whole world smile when we're out and she's in the hat, even though she often makes this face, as if to say "You've got to be kidding me." Love that Jackson now wants me to knit one for him (because he can't remember that her hat actually was his hat), and that his has to be "GREEN, Mommy, definitely GREEN." Now if I could just put down my Forest Canopy Shawl long enough to oblige...
Love Jackson's hair. What more can I say? (I had nothing to do with the fun-fur handknit scarf that he's wearing and can't explain why he must continually pull it out of the closet and wear it all the time...)

Love that Dan grilled out tonight even though we're expecting sub-zero temps again next week. I was only on side-dish duty tonight!

Love this yarn. (Did I already say that?)
Love that we have two Netflix flicks to choose from tonight. Counting down the minutes until the elder child joins his little sister in their room so Ma & Pa can finally relax on the couch together...

love, friday

Hee hee - his hair is awesome! Adults pay big bucks to achieve that!
