We're all feeling better today. Jackson was feeling so good that he decided to continue his "rounds" of our house by pulling down books (I just missed the shot of him standing up at the shelf in the act!), "helping" with the dishwasher and getting stuck behind chairs. His sleep schedule is completely out the window due to this whole illness episode, but at least he's eating, sleeping and happy. What more could we ask for?
I've made some good progress on his dedication sweater too. After a short blip in which I couldn't get the left twists to show up right, the wonderful ladies at Depth of Field Yarn advised me to scrap the twists and throw in some regular C4Fs in their place. (I totally didn't get cable language until recently, so bear with me as I throw it around like it's my mother tongue.)
Anyway, I'm enjoying how it looks and am not worried about gauge in the slightest. There is a chance (a very good chance) that this will be too big for the measurements, but hey, my baby is only growing, right? Too big for the dedication isn't necessarily a problem. At least I know he'll be able to wear it during the winter of '07!

OH! It is sooo good to see your babe up and about! How are you?
That sweater is looking great! I MUST do some cable knitting! I knitted wool socks for our entire Bag Pipe Band in the 90s and haven't done cables since....Well, it's time, you have inspired me!
Glad to see that you are all feeling better. The sweater is beautiful.
