My dear friend Joyce surprised me last night at my UU Stitchers group with this adorable sweater that she knit for Amelia:
She was a little miffed at me - to say the least - when she saw on the blog that I was knitting the very same pattern for Amelia that she had already started! But since Joyce is much more of an expert knitter than I am, she was able to quickly change plans and adapt her sweater with a "baby fern" lace pattern in the skirt and the adorable little edging around the sleeves. AND Joyce did this one in fingering weight...so very fine and adorable!
This is also the same color yarn that I just mailed to my sister for her to knit one for her daughter, Gigi. It was hard to part with the yarn because I LOVE the strawberry color. How cool that now Amelia has a strawberry-colored Angel Sweater too!
Thank you Joyce! (I promise to run all patterns by you in the future...) :)

too cool, now the cousin girls can really have matching sweaters!
What a beautiful gift! I think it's really neat to have two sweaters alike and yet different.
Just proves that great minds think alike, right?
Awwww!
Definately a gorgeous sweater. I love it.
WOW. This is ADORABLE! Amelia will look like a little pink doll.
